As a traditional school we strive to uphold the traditional method of training whereas knowledge is passed from the highest black belt to lower black belts then to the brown belts and on down as done for hundreds of years in Japan, these traditional training methods have offered exceptional quality instruction to hundreds of students since 1979. All of our instructors are certified and have many years of training and teaching experience, this ensures that our students receive training of exceptional quality.

OUR APPROACH
MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING IS A PERSONAL JOURNEY
We have been instrumental in hundreds of lives, from the white belt who started this month to the ones who started in our children's class and has grown and moved up and are now in our adult classes. Our students have come from all walks of life and professions, all who have been drawn to us because of our uniqueness and quality of instruction. Using traditional Japanese training and philosophy and with our comprehensive classes and instruction, students will develop a fellowship between each other.

Students learn and progress at their own rate based on their individual strengths and weaknesses. Students are grouped by rank and practice with a partner of the same level, so that they can focus on techniques that are appropriate for their skill level. An instructor, black belt or senior student, will guide and assist all students with their individual progress.

When a student reaches a certain level of proficiency, we offer advanced training sessions and special classes for higher ranking students i.e., advanced techniques, healing technique, defense against weapons, weapons training etc.

There are no long-term contracts to take classes. You pay on a  month to month basis through the City of Long Beach Parks, Rec, and Marine; and you only pay for the months you attend class. To get the full advantage it is best to start classes on the first Monday or Wednesday of the month.
